A Better Plan Leads to A Better Future

 I grew up in Saint Paul, Minnesota Frogtown area and attended schools in Saint Paul, finishing my last two years of High School in Circle Pines, Minnesota. After joining the Marines, I completed my bachelor’s degree in criminal justice then joined the City of Leavenworth, Kansas Police Department. Upon returning to Minnesota, a local Fortune 500 company hired me. I have lived in Cottage Grove, Minnesota for the last 18 years.

• Currently working for a Fortune 500 company as their supervisor and fire chief in charge of security and onsite Fire Department  
• Happily married to my wife for over 22 years; we have six wonderful children, five daughters and one son. All my children attended the 833-school district.  
• I grew up and went through Saint Paul public schools  

Issues:

• We need to support our teachers, raise curriculum academics: reading, writing, math, science, and critical thinking as well as removing inappropriate content from our children's schools 
• Equality: making sure all students reach their potential, academic achievements, and individual merit 
• Move away from politically driven agendas towards more meaningful learning; have a more balanced view of history and civics, directing funds towards educational goals 
• Increased parental involvement related to our children's education and curriculum selection respect between students, teachers and parents 
• We need to support our educators when they discipline students for negative behaviors
